Where we are.
by Megan Kemp
Do you ever play hide and seek with your kids? Mine LOVE hiding. When I come peeking around the corner they giggle in utter delight. I especially love when the little ones hide, because it's usually in plain sight. They do, however, cover their own eyes so that they can't see me coming. I also love that when they do, rarely, find an especially good hiding place that they go back to that exact same spot every. single. time.
We have been hiding here at Adventures of a Supermom. Not exactly the same type of hiding that...

Take Your Man to Jesus
by Heather Ladd
A few years back, an awesome mom and local pastor's wife, Ashley Ingram, posted on her personal blog a ten day challenge to pray specifically over certain areas of your husbands life. Her challenge reminds us that one of our biggest callings as a wife is to pray for our husbands and enrich his life. Once again, I am going to take this ten day challenge to pray fervently for my husband, will you join me?Take Your Man To Jesus - click here. The ten day challenge is listed on the right side of the blog.

This girl's best friend
"I can't believe I have to clean this up myself," I thought, as I wiped up half-chewed food tid bits out from under the baby's high chair. "We need a dog," I said to Tony for the third time that day.
"Just give me the OK and I'll make it happen," he replied.
Our wonderful dog Blue past away a couple weeks before Christmas. He was 13 and had been with us for 12 years. Nearly our whole marriage. Blue was It for me. He showed his most sincere loyalty early on when I was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy for six months. Tony worked...

The Tebow Effect
by Heather Ladd
Tim Tebow. He is popular around the Ladd house and I love it. I literally almost squeal with delight when we are watching his post game interviews and he proclaims his love for our Lord and he doesn't bite when the media tries to lure him into prideful boasting or arrogant statements. Even more, I love that my two brown-eyed boys are listening and watching intently as this "cool" superstar proclaims his love for Christ.Undoubtedly, my kids learn who Christ is and what He is all about in our home, from us - their parents. And...

What's Your Season
Right now it is the winter season. And it is the cold and flu season. Also, I am pregnant. I am raising 4 beautiful, busy, active, busy, wonderful, busy children. Two of these busy children are at home with me during the day. And it is the winter season, and the cold and flu season...and did I mention I'm pregnant? Needless to say, I often feel like I am this nesting, doctoring, disciplining, cleaning, cooking little hermit crab, in my shell, while the events of this world pass me by. Take this morning,...

Don't Eat the Cookies!
Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I thought I would stick to the weekend project theme and share a childhood favorite of mine...salt dough, or homemade play doh as my mother would cleverly call it. Not anything like play doh, this stuff behaves more like clay and better for sculptures you want to make permanent. Here's the recipe... 3/4 cup flour, 3 tablespoons table salt, 1 teaspoon cooking oil, 1/3 cup water. Mix all ingredients together until dough no longer sticks to the side of the bowl. Store in air-tight container...

No-Bake Energy Bites
by Megan Kemp
Ok y'all this is a new family favorite. I stumbled upon it on Pinterest and am so glad that I did. Healthy, protein packed little nuggets of yumminess. My man has even started keeping them up at the office for an afternoon treat. Hope you all enjoy!
No-Bake Energy Bites
1 cup oatmeal (I use steel cut)
1/2 cup peanut butter (almond butter is great too, but you'll need more to make the balls stick together because it seems to be dryer)
1/3 cup honey
1 cup coconut flakes (organic, unsweetened is my preference)
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/4...

Please Get This
by Sarah Clark
I can't sleep. So I'm up. Thinking of my babes, and all of the things I'm trying to teach them, wanting them to learn. Life would be so much better for them if they can absorb these things, get them in their brains and hearts. 1. Look for ways to serve. Serve others first. You are a blessing to people. Always look for chances to bless and serve. 2. Love the Word. All of your days. All of the pages. Read it, cherish it. Do it. Love it. Know it. Respect it. It...

Just Add Water
by Heather Ladd
Sometimes my kids are just grumpy. No particular reason. Maybe they are tired, or have had too much going on, or maybe they are bored. I don't always know the reason for their crabby demeanor, but I have discovered a very helpful solution:When they are crabby, just add water.Who doesn't love a big fun bubble bath?? This bath doesn't have to be at your traditional bath "time" but instead it can be anytime of the day when you see crabbiness sneaking into their day and heck, they don't even have to bathe! (sitting in soapy water...

Master Peace
by Amy Thoennes
Perfection is a harsh task master.Dishes, laundry, floors to do AGAIN. These maintenance-mode, never ending tasks never end. Get the laundry done one day, only to wake up to more the next. All because we LIVED another day. That is a good thing, right?!With our new addition to the family this perfection thing and I have come to blows. I never had a perfect house, but I always strived for the perfect house. I was always looking for the perfect list, routine, habits to form. But I give up. I surrender. I cannot do it. This, never able to accomplish...
