Take Your Man to Jesus

by Heather Ladd
A few years back, an awesome mom and local pastor's wife, Ashley Ingram, posted on her personal blog a ten day challenge to pray specifically over certain areas of your husbands life.  Her challenge reminds us that one of our biggest callings as a wife is to pray for our husbands and enrich his life.  Once again, I am going to take this ten day challenge to pray fervently for my husband, will you join me?Take Your Man To Jesus - click here. The ten day challenge is listed on the right side of the blog.

The Tebow Effect

by Heather Ladd
Tim Tebow.  He is popular around the Ladd house and I love it.  I literally almost squeal with delight when we are watching his post game interviews and he proclaims his love for our Lord and he doesn't bite when the media tries to lure him into prideful boasting or arrogant statements.  Even more, I love that my two brown-eyed boys are listening and watching intently as this "cool" superstar proclaims his love for Christ.Undoubtedly, my kids learn who Christ is and what He is all about in our home, from us - their parents.  And...

Just Add Water

by Heather Ladd
Sometimes my kids are just grumpy.  No particular reason.  Maybe they are tired, or have had too much going on, or maybe they are bored.  I don't always know the reason for their crabby demeanor, but I have discovered a very helpful solution:When they are crabby, just add water.Who doesn't love a big fun bubble bath??  This bath doesn't have to be at your traditional bath "time" but instead it can be anytime of the day when you see crabbiness sneaking into their day and heck, they don't even have to bathe! Mom tip of the Week

I just recently caught up with the times by getting an Iphone. Yes call me old fashioned but I just didn't want something to tie me down. Well it's proven me wrong by actually helping me as long as I don't spend too much time on the social media and ignore my family. Still finding that balance! I recently made the New Year's Resolution to read my Bible all the way through. Well with a baby in one hand for most of the day, I only have one hand to read. And as many people know, it takes two hands to read a book, at least for me it does. So my lovely Iphone came to mind. I downloaded the YouVersion app. It has the Bible, reading plans, a place to take notes, and it will even read to you. The cool part, I can use one hand to read and one hand to hold my baby. ~Misty MaGouirk
