Some of my favorite Pioneer Woman Recipes...

Jan 14th, 2012 // Allison Franklin

Lets just start off by saying that I have a small and probably somewhat unhealthy crush on Pioneer Woman. I love reading her blog, her book was great and her recipes are by far the easiest and best to cook and to taste! I have compiled a list of some of my favorites for you to try. I have made all of these and my family loves them. My husband use to look scared when he knew I was trying out a new recipe and he still does... until I say it's Pioneer woman. Then all of his worries go away!

  • Grilled Shrimp or Chicken with Lemon Basil Pasta

  • BBQ Chicken Pizza

  • Drip Beef (the first way is the only way I have cooked it)

  • Spicy Dr. Pepper Shredded Pork

  • Fried Round Steak

  • Chicken and Dumplings

  • Spicy Lemon Garlic Shrimp (appetizer)

  • Knock You Naked Brownies (the best in the world... by my opinion)

There ya go! Go visit thepioneerwoman.com for more wonderful recipes, make-up tips, give -a- ways and just some good entertainment! You will not be disappointed!

Mom tip of the Week

I just recently caught up with the times by getting an Iphone. Yes call me old fashioned but I just didn't want something to tie me down. Well it's proven me wrong by actually helping me as long as I don't spend too much time on the social media and ignore my family. Still finding that balance! I recently made the New Year's Resolution to read my Bible all the way through. Well with a baby in one hand for most of the day, I only have one hand to read. And as many people know, it takes two hands to read a book, at least for me it does. So my lovely Iphone came to mind. I downloaded the YouVersion app. It has the Bible, reading plans, a place to take notes, and it will even read to you. The cool part, I can use one hand to read and one hand to hold my baby. ~Misty MaGouirk
