Say Yes To Sex!

by Jennifer Cheyne
OK, ladies.  Let me preface this by saying that the Lord has very recently revealed to me what I'm about to share with you (yes, He talks to me about sex).  Let me also say that I am blushing just thinking about the fact that my mother-in-law will most likely read this.  But I truly feel like there are many, MANY wives out there who share the outlook that I, until recently, had about sex.  I think that as women, we believe at least in part, that sex is for men to enjoy, and for wives to offer to their husbands as an act of love...

How I Used to Be

by Sarah Clark
Hate is a strong word.  Really strong and ugly.  Dogs.  I hate dogs, or I used to anyway.  Really hate them.  If anyone heard that I hated dogs, they would always say, "well, you would like MY dog."  No I wouldn't .  I hate dogs.  Then I was in for a long conversation, really a dissertation because I hate talking about dogs as much as I hate dogs, about WHY I would like their dog and WHY it is so cute, funny, smart, blah, blah, blah. They are space invading and soggy slobbery.  Eewww....

An Affair... I Forgive

by Allison Franklin
Growing up as a naive and somewhat judgmental woman (ouch) I would look at other peoples situations and say those "come back to bite you in the hiney" sayings like... There is no way I would ever put up with that... or, If my husband does that I'm out the door... or, when I have kids they will not act like that... Yep! I said them, maybe not out loud but none the less. These statements came to a halt the second my world came crashing down around me. Time stood still to where minutes felt like hours and hours felt like days. My...

"Thou Art Mine"

by Ginny Stringfellow: Titus 2 Contributor
"...to love, honor, and cherish. In sickness and in health, til death do us part." These were part of the vows I repeated at the age 19. It's funny how words and phrases can take on stronger meaning when circumstances come into our lives. "In sickness and in health..." Lord, this is not what I planned for at this time in my life. This was what my honest response was to the Lord when my husband was diagnosed with incurable cancer in 1996.    So, Ginny to the rescue. I would devise a plan, fix the...

Bring Out the Man

by Amy Thoennes
Alright. Just like last week, I hope you have before you, something yummy to sip on as we dive right in. Girlfriend, how was your week (wink, wink)? You know I am talking about any exciting new thinking or breakthroughs in your BRIDAL MIND-SET. Read about it here if you missed it. http://www.adventuresofasupermom.com/blog/blog_author:amy-thoennes We just brushed over the subject of who we are to our man before. Let's go there now. I am thinking of all of your stories out there. All the things that brought you together. I have to say, honestly,...

Who is this woman, really?

by Amy Spears
So, honestly, who is this woman in Proverbs 31? As I read more and more about her I can't help but admit that she's got the work ethic of a mule, never sleeps, and does she ever have a bad day?  So, I continue to study her, what she represents literally and figuratively. I use an English Standard Version study Bible.  There are amazing notes and commentaries through out, which help me to break things down and cross reference.  What I've learned is Proverbs 31 is actually a poem of wisdom.  It really can direct us as women into...

How's the Spark? (Sex in Marriage)

by Amy Thoennes
I love this picture! It has a way of making you insert yourself right there in those flirty red heels. So let's do just that! That is you. That's your man! You have a story. You are a love story! If you have been married any amount of time, you are in the middle of your story. If you are drawing air into your lungs as you read, it is true. This post may find you in the midst of the mundane, living the dream, or you could be just trying to survive a storm. No matter your status, you are on a journey. You each have a great story, I wish I could...

It Snot Going as Planned

by Megan Kemp
Today is one of those days that I am eternally grateful that my works, skills, talents do not determine my success as a wife, mother, friend, person.   It actually started out quite great.  I woke up before the alarm, hopped out of bed and decided to jump on the treadmill.  As I did 3 miles of speed work I thought through the day....clean house, fresh laundry, take shower, shave legs, wash hair and actually wear something other than workout clothes or the same outfit that I adorned for 4, yes 4, days last week, gymnastics class with...

You're worth far more than rubies.

by Amy Spears
Proverbs 31:10"An excellent wife who can find? She is worth far more than jewels."In my on-going quest for being a wife with purpose, last summer I studied Proverbs 31.  I took one verse everyday. I would write the scripture at the top of the page in my journal.  Then, I would meditate and cross-reference, or define the words in the scripture til I got a vast list of words that described what can sometimes be a vague thought for me to break down.  I know some people feel this chapter in the Bible is difficult for women, because it's...

... we just danced.

by Allison Franklin
Once upon a time in a far away land........ Just kidding!Lately I've been feeling all romantic and mushy gushy inside. It could possibly be because Valentines day is tomorrow and this time of year always makes me reminiscent on all the "romantic" moments we have had throughout the years. Moments that weren't strategically planned in anyway,... they just happened. And I have a favorite to date...A while back we sold our home and had a cash offer but had to be out of our home in a little over 2 weeks! So crazy! So luckily some friends of ours...

Mom tip of the Week

I just recently caught up with the times by getting an Iphone. Yes call me old fashioned but I just didn't want something to tie me down. Well it's proven me wrong by actually helping me as long as I don't spend too much time on the social media and ignore my family. Still finding that balance! I recently made the New Year's Resolution to read my Bible all the way through. Well with a baby in one hand for most of the day, I only have one hand to read. And as many people know, it takes two hands to read a book, at least for me it does. So my lovely Iphone came to mind. I downloaded the YouVersion app. It has the Bible, reading plans, a place to take notes, and it will even read to you. The cool part, I can use one hand to read and one hand to hold my baby. ~Misty MaGouirk
